Frequently Asked Questions
Does Sakina contain any commercial advertisements?
No. Sakina is 100% completely ad-free forever. We firmly believe prayer, Quran recitation, and dhikr are sacred worship that must never be interrupted by commercial advertisements.
How are prayer times calculated? Is my GPS location shared?
Prayer times are calculated mathematically directly on your device using precise astronomical algorithms. Your GPS coordinates are never uploaded to any remote server. Sakina supports Umm al-Qura, Egyptian Authority, MWL, ISNA, and Diyanet standards.
Sakina Plus
Prices and eligible offers are shown by your app store before purchase. Auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Are my personal notes and reflections in the Soul Journal private?
Cloud sync is optional. Journal entries are encrypted at rest on this device with a key held in secure system storage. When sync is enabled, journals and recordings are sent to our backend and transcription providers; AI messages go to the AI provider. The biometric lock controls app access, but synced data is not end-to-end encrypted.
